Please contact Jean Balint for eligibility requirements, and particulars. Whippets must be registered with CWA prior to the event in order to compete. We encourage newcomers to racing to bring their whippets out to learn more at this event. There will be practice opportunities and enthusiastic volunteers are always welcome (no experience necessary!).

Racing is the ultimate test of speed for sighthounds. Whippet racing is always done for fun, never for money or for gambling. Several national organizations sponsor straight-track and oval-track racing, and the NCWFA is proud to offer several racing events every year. Our next racing event will be a weekend of CWA racing on June 27-28, 2009. NAWRA Racing

The North American Whippet Racing Association sponsors straight-track racing for whippets. NAWRA events are often held in conjunction with LGRA (Large Gazehound Race Association) events for non-whippet sighthounds. Whippets can earn the NAWRA titles RCh (Race Champion), SRCh (Supreme Race Champion), SRE (Show and Race Excellence), JrRD (Junior Racing Dog), and SrRD (Senior Racing Dog). NOTRA Racing

The National Oval Track Racing Association sponsors oval-track racing for all sighthounds. Hounds can earn the ORC (Oval Race Champion) and SORC (Supreme Oval Race Champion) titles through NOTRA. Visit the NOTRA home page for more information about NOTRA Racing.

CWA Racing
