(Denotes NCWFA Member Entrant)
The last NOTRA meet of the year hosted by the NCWFA turned out to be a most enjoyable event. The weather was again perfect for racing our most enthusiastic hounds. The meet was won by yesterday's NAWRA winner, Chuk. He ran superb both days and was a most worthy "TOP DOG". Congratulations to his very proud owner, John Barringer. Also running extremely well was our second place winner, Bogart. He too was hot both days. Cinder decided she was tired of being the bridesmaid and today she was the bride. She ran with great determination and took third place, top ORC points and was also High Score BOS in the meet. A very nice day for her happy owners, Debbie and Pat Swank. Elle ran hard and had two unbelievable come from behind wins. She was very exciting to watch and caused gasps from all the finish line judges. She took the fourth placement in the meet. Bailey not to be outdone by his housemate Bogart, gave a fine showing and got fifth place. Lance and Mushka both ran strongly and took sixth and seventh in the meet. Kenya was again running very well and finished in eighth place. Rounding out the top ten was Dolce and Cruiser. Both of them ran strongly and well deserved their high placements in this meet.
I would like to again thank everyone who helped me with this event. I am indeed fortunate to have such wonderful people assisting me. I would like to mention you all personally but I think you know who you are. However, I do have to mention one name and that is Don Papin. I can assure if it hadn't been for Don there would not have been a meet this past weekend. Thank you so very much for all your help and support. Everything you did was greatly appreciated.
I want to wish you all good racing and good fun for the rest of the season.
Jean Balint
